Anger for Professionals (AP-1) Individual

Working with Anger for Therapists and other Professionals (CPD six hours)

This Zoom course will help you to understand and work with anger in the therapy room and your workplace. It is specifically for individual therapists, counsellors, nurses, doctors, police, social workers and anyone else faced with anger in the workplace. It is designed to support your understanding of anger and how you address anger in your clients and offers six hours accredited CPD. We have developed unique models such as “The Angere Engine”. This original model maps the processes which drive angry outbursts and raises the possibilty of interrupting the habitual trigger/behaviour dynamic and adopting healthier behaviours as well as deeper self-awareness.

You will learn key techniques to pass on to your clients which will help them manage their behaviour and express anger in a healthy way. You will receive guidance on how to remain calmer and contained when faced with an angry client. You will approach anger in your clients with more confidence and less fear and through your own understanding will be better placed to teach them that it is “OK to Feel Angry” and that anger can be expressed different way.

Anger has a bad reputation – we will define “what anger is” – understanding this can be transformational. We will talk about how anger gives important information and how this can be confused with our history and perceptions.
